I have a bucket list. A compilation of things I would like to experience before I kick the bucket. Recently I realized I have been also mentally compiling another list. Some would call it a “f”ucket list”, others would call it a “let it go already” list. If I were to be honest my list would be a combination of both of the above.
It has been a difficult journey, but over a lifetime I have been able to live more in the moment. Leaving the past in the past. And letting the future take care of itself. Putting aside the should have, would have, could have scenarios. I have found redirecting that energy to the here and now is a much more productive use of my time. I think about the future, but I don’t obsess about it. Because just about the time you think you have everything figured out, life has a funny way of throwing a wrench into the works.
