Lucky Charms

Having an Irish heritage, I am well acquainted with the luck of the Irish.  Embracing our heritage, a basket filled with shamrocks is prominently displayed in our main living area.  In addition to our home grown luck, family and friends have extended their well wishes with a variety of symbolic housewarming gifts, e.g., a sculptured cricket, pineapple, and a living money tree.  The sum total of their blessings are for wealth, fortune, hospitality, vitality, prosperity, and good luck.

When all is said and done, the most lasting gift of all, are our treasured family and friends.

Down in my basement, lined neatly on a shelf are handwritten notebooks chronicling my life. After years of writing, the experience became more of a burden then an important part of my day so I quit writing. Five years later I took up writing again. This time it was in the form of a blog which gave me a place to hang out after I lost my job. From there my blog content morphed into writing about my general contractor experience building our house. As my life experiences grew so did my blog.
