I Scream, We All Screamed For Ice Cream

Surprised, he looked at me in utter disbelief.  In response to my request, he turned around and headed back down the road to the Cheese Mart.  Although we purchased pepper jack and cheddar cheese, that was not what had beckoned to me as we had passed by.

Two rows of nondescript containers lined the cooler.  But appearances can be deceiving.  For encased in each tub was a frozen concoction that awakened the child hidden deep within.  Delightful creations in creamy vanilla and chocolaty brown.  Screaming for a fix, the senses could not be ignored.
For a brief moment I was a bit let down, there was no Mackinac Island Fudge Ice Cream to be found.   The momentary setback was soon forgotten as I spied the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream tucked back in the far corner of the cooler.
Stepping out into the frigid cold night air, the ice cream tasted warm and inviting. It was oh….so…. yummy!

Down in my basement, lined neatly on a shelf are handwritten notebooks chronicling my life. After years of writing, the experience became more of a burden then an important part of my day so I quit writing. Five years later I took up writing again. This time it was in the form of a blog which gave me a place to hang out after I lost my job. From there my blog content morphed into writing about my general contractor experience building our house. As my life experiences grew so did my blog.
