Brown Thumb, Gone Green?

Brown thumb, gone green?

House plants do not have a long life span in my care.  I have been known to kill cacti, after all. So last week when two orchid plants were budding out, ready to bloom , I was dumbfounded.

How could this be? What changed?

A bamboo plant has been in charge of  my house plant watering routine.  When it gets thirsty, all the plants drink.  Whether this is the reason my plants are beginning to thrive or not, I can’t argue with success, and will keep my bamboo plant in charge of the watering schedule.

Down in my basement, lined neatly on a shelf are handwritten notebooks chronicling my life. After years of writing, the experience became more of a burden then an important part of my day so I quit writing. Five years later I took up writing again. This time it was in the form of a blog which gave me a place to hang out after I lost my job. From there my blog content morphed into writing about my general contractor experience building our house. As my life experiences grew so did my blog.
