The House That Jack Built – Bring On The Heat

The daily rain saturated the area between the house and the LP tank.  So much so, our neighbor brought in his skid steer to landscape the area, redirecting the rain run off away from the house. We left the raw soil settle a few days, then we manned our shovels to dig a trench for the gas line.  Once the line was laid and connected, we fired up the furnace.

Now we have to master the programmable furnace thermostat.  I tried reading the manual, but it was Greek to me.

Down in my basement, lined neatly on a shelf are handwritten notebooks chronicling my life. After years of writing, the experience became more of a burden then an important part of my day so I quit writing. Five years later I took up writing again. This time it was in the form of a blog which gave me a place to hang out after I lost my job. From there my blog content morphed into writing about my general contractor experience building our house. As my life experiences grew so did my blog.
