The Friday night perch fry is a long held Wisconsin tradition that Maricques Bar (Green Bay) has down to a science. Their succulent perch fillet melts in your mouth, with no fishy smell or after taste.
The atmosphere is bar, no “special” seating area, no silverware. Wednesday and Friday their menu is fish and only fish; perch, blue gill, lawyers, chub, whitefish, catfish, and smelt.
There is one exception to their fishy menu. Saturday they serve another Wisconsin favorite, Booyah.
