MC Touring – French Neverland in the Heartland

Garden Sculpture

We dodged rain all day, the dark clouds overhead couldn’t hold back any more; wet and tired we rode our bikes to the next town, Alma (WI).  Call it fate or just plain luck;  we parked our bikes and ducked in to the nearest coffee shop and entered a world within a world; a French Neverland in the Heartland.

The rich aroma of espresso intermixed with the sound of brewing European coffee was heavenly.

We carried our coffee cups through the back door and entered a hidden garden with magical fountains and sculpted greenery.  The only missing link was Peter Pan, or was he.  Perhaps the mischievous Pan was lurking there………smiling as we shared his magic..

Down in my basement, lined neatly on a shelf are handwritten notebooks chronicling my life. After years of writing, the experience became more of a burden then an important part of my day so I quit writing. Five years later I took up writing again. This time it was in the form of a blog which gave me a place to hang out after I lost my job. From there my blog content morphed into writing about my general contractor experience building our house. As my life experiences grew so did my blog.
